Getting Started

Articles

Articles are published in Journals. They are written about very specific topics and tend to be 2-30 pages long.

Academic articles will include an abstract at the start of the article which contains a summary of the article's content.

Articles are where you will find the most up-to-date information and research.

You can find databases that contain articles here.

Peer-reviewed Articles

Also called "scholarly" or "academic" articles.

Peer review refers to the editorial process of the journal; articles are reviewed by experts before being approved for publication.

Finding Academic Articles

When searching the library collection, filter for articles. You can also limit your search to “peer-reviewed” or “scholarly journals”.
